Minneapolis Youth Baseball Travel Teams

The big MYBA news this year is that ALL travel teams will hold tryouts in the fall. Previously, only players trying out for 12U - 14/15U teams have tried out in the fall,  but it's time for change.

After plenty of research and many discussions, it was decided that moving ALL tryouts to fall would help MYBA align with our peer organizations, simplify and streamline registration, allow us to have greater flexibility in our tryout times, and give our travel teams more time to coalesce thereby giving them a better chance of success during the season.

A high-quality sports program – MYBA's main goal is to offer a higher level of competition for kids who truly love the game of Baseball. 

• The Millers are the home association to Minneapolis players
• Eligibility - In accordance with Metro Baseball League rules, Millers baseball is available to players who reside in the city of Minneapolis or attend a school within the Minneapolis Public Schools system.  For more information regarding verification documentation that may be required visit the residency checklist. 
• Ages - travel teams range from ages 9 - 15 that compete in metro-wide leagues, and statewide tournaments.
• Open to kids of many athletic abilities - the Millers field travel teams at the "AAA” (A), “AA” (B) and "A" (C) levels. There's a good chance that any kid who loves baseball can play in MYBA.
• Scholarships available - every effort is made to accommodate any athletic kid who is dedicated to learning the game of baseball.
• Skills development - Millers travel teams emphasize development of fundamentals to prepare kids for a higher level of competition.
• Tryouts - each year Millers Travel Team tryouts are held for 9U-15U players in September. 
• Travel Season - practices begin in late March/early April.  Game play begins typically in early May and ends in late July.
